Also, the monitor didn't come on for probably the first 5 minutes and our clue button didn't work so we had to wave our hands around when we wanted one. We had to try it 3 times before it came out. Again, our game had to be interrupted and the game maker had to come inside and help us get this piece unlocked. The third, Once Upon A Time, we set a puzzle to the numbers we found to release something and it clicked like it unlocked, but wouldn't come out. For all the time we waited for them to get the room ready, shouldn't this have been checked? The game maker was very apologetic and added more time for the time lost. Our team messed with this for about 4-5 minutes to then have to have our game interrupted so they could replace it. they can hear and see you, there is no way they didn't know unless not doing their job, which is another problem) Second game, Taken, one of the puzzles in the room wasn't working. Especially when we finished with a lot of time left and talked about it several times at the end of the game. I understand human error, but dishonesty doesn't fly with me. The game maker then proceeded to act like he wasn't aware that all of this happened. Also, one of the puzzles was broken and couldn't be used, which we felt like we should have been informed about before starting. The first time doing Entrapment, one of the locks never got reset and we skipped a whole part of the room. They have the potential of being a really great company, but this location in particular just seems to not care. I've done 3 different rooms at this company now and all 3 times, something has gone wrong. I typically don't like to give companies bad reviews, but I've even emailed corporate and have heard nothing. Great Company… but once again not impressed with our Game Master. Considering how close we were to escaping, (they weren’t busy- the only team there, even showed up early) and how much time it took to receive our clues, we definitely would’ve escaped. If we had paid personally for this experience, I would’ve rated it lower. This was paid gift to us while celebrating a family member being in town. After a comment was made about wasting our time, she added just one minute. Towards the end we asked for a few more clues and spent about 3 minutes on a broken clue, unable to see the numbers and our timer on the safe was activated because the wrong code was given to us. Either giving us a clue we had already completed or taking AT LEAST 30 seconds to type up a clue while our timer was counting down. It seemed almost as if she wasn’t paying attention to what we were actually doing in the room. I rate this a 3 out of 5 because our Game Master lacked on giving us clues. Your game is complete either when you finish the last puzzle and escape, or when the 60 minutes is over.We were so close to winning and we had a great time trying to get out of Taken! We as a whole feel as though we were robbed. You’ll have 60 minutes to find the clues and solve the puzzles to escape. If you are still stuck, you can request additional clues, but they will add an additional 1-3 minutes to your time for each clue. Your game master can give you up to 3 free clues if you get stuck. A timer will be in each chamber with a live countdown. You and your team will watch a short introduction video. We will give you a brief overview of the rules and answer any questions you may have. Each game has multiple chambers, the goal is to get through each chamber to ultimately escape!īefore your game, we ask that you place all belongings in one of our lockers for safekeeping. Items that look like props can be clues and items that look like clues could be there just to confuse you. You and your team will interact with many objects in the room. In each experience, you will be inside an escape room for one hour while you and your team try to find the clues to help you escape.
